What is a base-registered mobile number?
The base-registered mobile number is the contact number added to the base database. Someone can give it at the time of application or link in later stage. It is usually used by UIDAI to send OTP for facilitating support updates and transactions.
The process of downloading the base using your base-registered mobile number
First of all, log in to the UIDAI portal, and click on the 'Download Base' link under the 'My Base' drop-down menu.
On the next page, you will have to enter your Aadhaar number / Enrollment ID / Virtual ID.
After this, a one time password (OTP) will be sent to your base-registered mobile number.
Finally, enter the OTP and click on the 'Verification and Download' option.
Your digital base card will be downloaded.
How to update your base-registered mobile number
To update your base-registered mobile number, you will have to go to your nearest base enrollment center and complete the base update / improvement form, and submit it with the required documents and fixed fee.
